10/24/08 by Sammie from Chicago Recommended!
Rating: 5 I love these tights and always buy them whenever necessary. I love the fact that the hole in the foot does not rip like most other convertible tights. Great buy, and very long-lasting. Recommended!
10/10/08 by Anonymous Scratchy
Rating: 3 These tights are OK in a pinch, but I find them very scratchy. For me, it's harder to concentrate on dancing when I have scratchy tights. I prefer UltraSoft tights.
09/10/08 by Christina from North Carolina Ick
Rating: 1 These tights, are horrible. They barely let you breathe, and they're ultra thin.
07/27/08 by Kelsey Ick
Rating: 2 I usually get the Capezio Supplex tights, which I really like. For some reason I got these last time and I do not like them. They are itchy. After dancing for a couple hours they get all stretched out. And after only wearing them a couple times they started geting almost discolored...I got Ballet Pink and they got to be a really odd peach color in spots.
06/21/08 by Maddy from California Amazing
Rating: 5 I had these for a year now and they never got ripped or anything. They are so comfortable.
06/14/08 by Anonymous Awesome
Rating: 5 I love these tights, they are very comfortable and soft. I have worn and washed them lots of times and they have not grown fuzzy or uncomfortable. And neither of them have the smallest run in them, these are great tights!
05/12/08 by Ellen Wore them twice
Rating: 1 I got these tights for a show and was surprised to find that there was a hole in the crotch of the tights after only two wearings. The feet and ankles were also baggy. I usually love Capezio and hope this is not what their products will be like in the future.
04/23/08 by Kris from New Jersey Not Comfortable
Rating: 1 For some reason, I bought two pairs of these and wish I could return the one I didn't open. I bought a large, one size up for me regularly, but even these were too small and should have gotten an XXL. I'm nearly 5'4" and I had to stretch them way out to fit and even then, they were tough to put on. They fit OK in the waist, though.
Plus, they don't don't breathe and are scratchy. Didn't have a problem with the ballet pink being the right color for a recital.
04/18/08 by Noelle from NYC Rather not
Rating: 4 These tights are a very cool material! This might sound a bit personal but they are really good with the breathing issue. So you don't feel all hot and sweaty. I just started dancing ballet last fall. I used to dance jazz. These tights are a great buy with an even BETTER price!
04/02/08 by Dancer from TX Rating: 2 Don't be deceived. These tights are WAY darker than they look in the picture, and they are really thick and they don't let your legs breathe at all.
03/11/08 by Anonymous from Rochester, NY Plus supply problem
Rating: 4 I really like the tights once I can get them. I wear an XL, but because these do run small, I like to use XXL for comfort and extra stretch for lesson times. NO ONE ever carries XXL in stock, and it takes forever to special order.
03/05/08 by Katie Rating: 4 I love these tights. They are by far my favorite. I have to wear tights to school as well as to dance class, so I just use these because they rarely get runs (I do need new ones now because 3 pairs have gotten runs, but they're well over a year old...). They're very durable and long lasting. I've found that the pink does fade, but it's not really a big deal because I have a pair especially for shows that I rarely wear and therefore rarely wash, so they look new. I just wear the faded ones to class after that. I've never had a problem, with the exception of runs, but that's just normal with tights.
01/10/08 by Vana Banana from Maryland Itch and Warmth
Rating: 2 I hated these tights! They do not let your legs breathe and has extreme insulation. I had to roll these up to my knees mid way through the barre it was so unbearable. I do admit, once they were rolled up they felt pretty good and the tights are sturdy. But the tights were itchy, stiff, and hot! That's all I have to say.
11/13/07 by Amanda Jane from New York City Reliable tights
Rating: 5 I like these tights because they are very strong and don't wear quickly. Great for the price, a value!
10/22/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I really liked these tights. They aren't the same type of super soft material of other tights I've tried but I like this better. They had a slimming effect and my muscles looked more defined in them. I think the color lightened up after a few washes but I didn't mind because I'm very pale. They lasted about two or five months of classes 5 days a week then started getting holes and runs. These are very nice tights.
10/02/07 by BethAnn Rating: 5 These are the only tights I buy. They hold up extremely well. I do not suggest getting the Suntan because it appears more orange (the Light Suntan works best for me). I have been dancing 15 years and have discovered that these work best in shows. I suggest them to any serious dancer.
08/12/07 by Music Mom from New York So so
Rating: 5 These are good at first, but after a while they get bad holes.
07/02/07 by Ash from Georgia Itchy and Uncomfortable!
Rating: 1 I thought these tights would be great for me since I have to transition from ballet to modern to pointe, but I found the material to be VERY itchy and uncomfortable. I ordered a size up and they were still quite small, and the legs were too short even on my very short legs.
Also, the foot hole was much too small. I wear a size seven shoe, but still have to struggle to transition. I definitely do not recommend these tights.
06/30/07 by Emily from Minnesota OK
Rating: 2 I own a couple pairs of these tights, and I don't especially like them. They are a bit small, and when I'm wearing them like regular tights, they don't feel right. I wouldn't really recommend them to dancers with longer legs.
06/17/07 by Anonymous Rating: 3 The material is very itchy!!! If I have absolutely no tights to wear at home to practice, I wear my Capezios. But these are definitely not my favorite.
06/03/07 by Aimee from Riverside Nice tights
Rating: 4 I used to wear these tights for about three years. I thought that they were pretty good. They're reasonably comfortable and stay on well. They go a little white for my taste, and run after about 4 times of wearing them. I like these tights, but I would recommend the ones with seams.
02/26/07 by Lorin Rating: 2 These tights are my least favorite out of every pair I've ever owned. While they're durable and fairly long lasting, the color fades in about two wears and looks a dirty pink after 1 class! Also, the waistband is super tight and very thin so you get odd bulges everywhere. I would never ever buy these tights again.
02/05/07 by Molly from Washington Overall O.K.
Rating: 4 I have about 7 pairs of these tights. The ballet pink fades into a very light to white color after a few washings. Sizes run a tad small, order one size up. Some pairs will get runs, others won't. They fit snug. The waistband is a bit too tight. Overall, they stretch well and get my job done. (I take 5 hours of ballet a week).
01/25/07 by Holly Rating: 2 The first time I wore these for a dance audition, I immediately got a hole in the crotch as well as runs in the legs. This was extremely disappointing. Luckily, since then, no new holes have developed.
01/16/07 by Bballerina girl from Dance X-pressions Rating: 5 I love Capezio - these tights are my faves.
11/17/06 by SapphireDancer from Canada Sizes Run Small
Rating: 2 I ordered XL and they felt like a M. Once on, they're not horrible but the waistband is definitely too tight, and the material doesn't seem too durable.
11/03/06 by Kara Very Itchy!
Rating: 3 The material is very uncomfortable. It felt really weird when I was dancing in them and I had a problem getting them over my toes. Overall they were OK.
11/01/06 by Cheryl Nice tights
Rating: 4 Soft, comfortable and very durable. I have some that are a year old. The ballet pink ones fade after several washings.
10/01/06 by All around Dancer These tights are great!!!
Rating: 5 I love these tights. They are so comfortable. I own about 10 pairs and only maybe 3 or 4 have runs or holes in them, but of course I've had them for a few months. I use the ones with holes and runs in them for practice or rehearsals. I would really recommend them.
09/29/06 by Ballet Vixen from Los Angeles Stretch only so much
Rating: 2 I got mine in XXL just to make sure it would fit, since I was at the "border" of their size XL/XXL ranges. I found out that they barely fit me around the hips (and I have small hips) so that was quite awkward. They basically only stretch so much and then they "hold". These are nylon and after trying these I found out that I prefer supplex over nylon.
09/16/06 by Anonymous Mix-up
Rating: 2 I accidentally ordered these instead of the Supplex/Lycra version, and did not like them at all. Within five minutes of wearing them, there was a large hole along one of the seams. The material felt scratchy on my legs and also slid around in my flat shoes. Supplex/Lycra, while a bit more prone to runs, is much more comfortable and a better buy.
09/15/06 by Marielisa from Puerto Rico The best!!
Rating: 5 These tights are my favorites
09/12/06 by Chelsea from Yreka, CA Love Them
Rating: 5 These tights are great. I go through tights and ballet shoes like I go through food! These tights have lasted a long time (for me of course). But one day, I put them in the wash and they came out blue. Oops! Now I got a run in them because they got caught on a screw on my bed. I would highly recommend these tights because they last long and they are very soft.
09/03/06 by Anonymous Rating: 3 Very odd material. I prefer the Capezio model 1864 better. These are not that soft and don't keep their shape after wearing. But if you wash them, their shape comes back.
09/01/06 by Marz Rating: 3 I had these in black for over the leo. But they're really rough and don't feel nice on my legs, and the waist didn't come high enough for me. I wouldn't recommend them.
08/28/06 by LadyBugg Rating: 5 Yeah, these tights are great, but they do tend to run, but are very comfy...I liked the bigger holes in the bottom for converting, you can roll them as far up as to your knee!
07/11/06 by Suzanne from Bozeman, MT Rating: 4 I've had these tights for a month, and they already have small runs around the heel. They are, however, comfortable and have held their shape well. A solid buy for the price.
07/04/06 by Amelia Rating: 5 The best tights I've ever owned.. great for performances and great for class. What more could a ballerina want?
06/30/06 by Kim Rating: 5 I love these tights; I use them allll the time.
06/09/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Love them. I have them in ballet pink. They are really comfortable and look great. The only things I don't like are that the foot hole stretches out after a while and they snag kind of easily.
06/02/06 by Emma from Kamuela, HI Itchy!!
Rating: 3 When I got these tights, I thought they would be a lot more comfortable. They are very durable but not very comfortable. They aren't as stretchy as my other tights also.
05/06/06 by Char Rating: 4 These are good tights. They work better than most. I only use convertible tights and these are a good price. I've had mine for almost 3 years!! They do have runs but they're not huge and the tights lasted a long time without any damage. The only other problem is the hole in the foot can get skewed when you're dancing since it's so big.
05/01/06 by K from California Rating: 4 I use them for competitions (well, I have to!), recitals, and just everyday in the dance studio. They are great all-around tights, I have them in pink and light suntan.
04/27/06 by Anonymous Ballerina Great!!
Rating: 5 These tights are great!! They're the only tights I use. They're not too heavy and last a very long time! They're perfect for class and shows!! They're GREAT tights!
04/26/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I use these tights all the time and they are great! They last a long time and are very comfortable.
04/26/06 by aj Rating: 5 These tights are great, especially when your feet are bleeding from your pointe shoes. You can just take the tops off and see the damage.
04/22/06 by Anonymous Uncomfortable
Rating: 2 I thought this was a different pair of tights when I ordered, but they were uncomfortable nylon. The supplex/lyrca is much better. The nylon tights have a weird foot and they don't stretch enough. They do last longer though, because of the harder and not as easily run-able material.
