I ordered these shoes because I needed a fairly inexpensive pair that looked like all the other girls' at my school. These shoes are awesome! They broke in super fast, and they make my turns sooo much smoother than what I was using before!
My only complaints are the slightly extra material at the toe (but I ordered mine a little big, because my feet are between an 8.5 and a 9 in street shoes), and that the material doesn't breathe as well as I would like. My feet get a little sweaty and slippery in them after my two hour long practices.
I would also like to add that they are made by Bloch. So everyone who says that they are a Bloch knockoff is mistaken.
I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a good, inexpensive shoe for class. I'm going to competition in a few weeks, so we'll see how they hold up to that. I've had them for a few weeks already, and so far they have held up well to classes and being crammed into my dance bag all the time.
Like I said, awesome shoe, and a much better deal than what the other girls in my class wear (Capezio).

The most amazing jazz shoe ever!

I love this shoe!!! I ordered a half-size bigger than I wear with street shoes, and it fits extremely well with room to grow. The leather feels soft and of good quality. The soles are rubber and are easy to turn on. In between the soles is more leather, making the shoe easy to point and beautiful to look at. I have a pretty high arch, but because of the elastic, my arch doesn't feel as if it's putting pressure on my arch, a problem I've had with ballet shoes. The most amazing shoe EVER! I ordered black and it really is black, not some off-black gray. I didn't order the tan because in my dance studio, we're not allowed to have them. I would definitely recommend these to anyone! AWESOME quality for an extremely low price!!!

I think this shoe is a great value. I order them as a uniform shoe for the dance team I coach. They really last through extensive use. For such an inexpensive shoe, I was worried they wouldn't hold up very long. But they really go the distance, and are very comfortable.

Shoe itself was OK. My daughter wears about a 2
in kids so we had to order adults. We ordered a 4 and it's 2 sizes too small. Unfortunately DD doesn't offer any info on sizes other than "same as street" and they don't offer any assistance with their inflated shipping costs for exchanges. The shipping costs will be more than twice as much as the item itself. Won't shop here again. Could have paid the higher price at a store and still spent less then here.

Great price. Quick shipping. I think they are one half size small also. We ordered an 8 and my daughter wears a 7 to a 7 1/2 and they were just a little bit big.

Only jazz shoe my son wants and they hold up very well! Sizing is weird - he wears a kids 4 1/2 shoe but an adult 7 in this. Great shoe for the money.

Very comfortable to dance in. If you are planning to keep these shoes for awhile, I suggest getting a half size bigger. Mine fit well, but I will very soon outgrow them.

Shoes are great. Very comfortable and shape foot. The only suggestion is to order a size 1/2 up or 1. Like I wear a size 10 normally and I ordered a size 10.5 fit perfect! My feet are narrow so that was ok but if you have wide feet this isn't for you!

Poor fit

My daughter liked the look of the shoe but when she tried it on it was actually floppy in spite of going by size chart... The same size that fit well in another shoe and her regular size wouldn't even stay on her foot! To add to the problem, DD doesn't offer free shipping ot replace an item that doesn't fit so one ends up paying as much in shipping as for the item! I won't shop here again because of this policy.

I bought these shoes because they look just like the shoes my company team uses and they are at least $20 cheaper. They don't last quite as long as some other shoes, but you can buy another pair and it would still not add up to the price of other shoes! Great shoes. I would recommend them to everyone!

A very nice shoe
and SUPER comfortable.
I attend 8-10 hour long competitions and I still feel awesome at the end.
I practice 4 days a week for 3-4 hours every practice.
The only downfall would be that through lots of practicing, there are some holes and the grip gets worn down a lot. But that happens to most jazz shoes and they didn't last me as long at all, but it's really worth it. I'm buying another pair now!

First of all, when my mom purchased these online, I anticipated they were going to be just like my older jazz shoes--Complete opposite.
I don't have a problem with excessive perspiration, and the workouts weren't nearly as rigorous as usual and my feet still got super sweaty in the white-waffle design.
My feet have some width to them, not much, and it is so hard to put on the shoe.
I recommend BLOCH Jazz Booty.
If you must purchase these, know the fit is odd. Super narrow width, Extra baggage my the toe. Not a good fit for a dancer who dances seriously.
I do not recommend these shoes, but if they must be purchased, wear them with something on your feet, like tights, to stop the uncomfortable sweating, which causes slipping.

The size runs small

I bought these in a size 5, which is my regular shoe size, but they are too small, tight, and my toes touch the tip of the toe. I can't move in them, they hurt my feet. I will try to exchange them for a larger size and hope that will be better.

Nice inexpensive shoe option

This is a nice inexpensive shoe option for my daughter. She says they are comfortable but the bottoms slide a little bit on the floor when dancing. Sizing seems to be true and at the price is not a big deal to replace as her foot grows.

I hate these shoes

I absolutely hate these shoes. I bought them for both of my daughters and they started to tear at least a month after I purchased them. My oldest always complained of them being very uncomfortable. The stitching was very bad. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone!

I got these shoes because they looked like my competition team's name brand and were cheap. BIG MISTAKE! I have a pretty normal width foot, I rarely get a wide, but these shoes were so tight, my foot was purple when I took them off! And they are waaaay too long in width. You should only get this shoe if you have narrow feet and are a beginner! THEY ARE CHEAP!

These shoes are Medium width at best. My daughter wears a regular width 8 street shoe and while these are long enough in length, they seem narrow to medium in width. She is hoping they stretch out since they are leather but initial fit is very, very tight in width.

This is a great buy for a great shoe! My studio uses a much more expensive shoe, but "Dance Now" makes a jazz shoe that looks exactly the same and is of outstanding quality. These shoes are great!

These shoes are sooo uncomfortable! The stitching is not soft at ALL! Unless you wear socks with it, I would not recommend these! Also, the sizing is off. I would recommend you get a 1/2 size to 1 size smaller! I recommend Capezios CG05! They are worth the extra money!

Very good shoes for the price!

I bought these shoes and used them for colorgaurd. They lasted the whole 9-week season of marching in the rain, outside, and on gravel. If you used them for only indoor studio dancing, they would probably last longer. Very good shoes for the cheap price!

These shoes are nice for beginners, however, they do not last very long. I dance 2 1/2 hours, four days a week, and I wore the sole down in less than a month, and got a couple of holes. If you need a quick pair of cheap shoes, these would be the best choice, but for the serious dancer, I'd invest in something more expensive.

These shoes are very comfortable; however, I have very wide feet, so within 3 months, the bottom seam split and I had a huge hole in the bottom of the shoes.

I just put on my pair that I received in the mail (fast shipping) and they feel way better than my Bloch lace ups. A little extra material on my toes, but that could have been a sizing error on my part, due to the male feet ordering a female shoe. I would recommend these shoes.

I have a pair, and they lasted sooooo long. I bought them in August/September of 2006. They lasted till December when they first started getting holes in them. They'd last longer if I didn't dance on concrete and asphalt. They broke in fast, fit so nicely, and the only complaint is that they wear out!

Disappointed in the sizing

I ordered this pair of shoes for my 10-year-old daughter and she wears a size 5. These were too small for her so I'm reordering them in a 6 1/2 to see if they'll fit much better. The size 5 were really tight and that is her street size.

I would like to say, that this shoe is really tapered at the toes, I have square, short-toed feet, and there is some excess material there. I suppose I could have been OK with a size 6, although my normal street shoe size is 6.5-7, although I like my dance shoes tight! I will update more after a couple weeks of 4 days a week 3+ hours at a time of use! So far, wearing them around the house, they seem like they are going to be great!

You Get What You Pay For

The shoes are not worth it! They are very cheap material and the stretchy material is flimsy and won't hold up. The saying "You Get What You Pay For." definitely applies to these shoes!

I love these Jazz shoes! There is absolutely no reason not to buy them. These are the best and they are affordable too. Before I bought these, my jazz shoes killed my feet because other brands would wear on the bottom and sides. I've had these for 4 months and they still look like new.

Cheap Price, Cheap Quality

I needed shoes on short notice for my recital, and these were cheapest so I bought them. Big mistake! I should've just spent the extra five bucks or so for the more expensive jazz shoes. These shoes are made of some kind of cheap fabric, which doesn't allow the skin to breathe at all. My feet were sticky and sweaty. They also got dirty very easily (I had only used them twice!) If you really want something that's good and that lasts, get a more expensive shoe like Bloch or Capezio.

These are the best Jazz shoes I have ever worn. They are so comfortable and they last forever. I learned always go for the cheap pair and they end up being better than the more expensive pair. I would recommend these shoes for all Jazz students.
