I use these to make sure my ribbons are secure for competitions or performances occasionally, but they are more trouble than they are worth for every day use. Scotch tape would probably be just as effective. I probably won't buy any more if I run out. They aren't worth it. However, they do stay on pretty well, at least for the short time I have them on.

They sure do what they are meant to do, but its basically tape. nothing different. so use scotch tape and you will get the same results. also, they are kind of hard to remove, so your ribbons might get all weird,

These work pretty well. Basically, it's just like taping your ribbons on. Works well!

Kelsey12/03/2006 Nyc,HARD TO GET OFF
I used these during class because one shoes ribbons were a little short and these would help them stay. But they are extremely hard to get off! I ended up having to cut the ribbons and having to buy new ones and sew them on. These caused me more trouble than they really should have....

Marissa08/18/2006 New York,
My friend uses these but she has trouble getting it off afterwards, and when u have 3 dances until your next dance, it just doesn't work too well!!! I find that scotch tape works just as well. I know people that use hairspray or double sided tape.

I haven't used these, but it sounds like a pretty good idea. However, a simple trick is just to hairspray your knot. It keeps the ribbons in place wonderfully, and you don't have to buy anything extra!

How do you use them?
My ribbons frequently come untied, and I just don't want them to come untied during a performance. Does anyone know if they work, and how to use them? Also, do they only work on certain types of ribbon.
Please see attached picture for instructions - DDS Customer Service (12/28/2012)
its basically tape, thats it. you slide it between the ribbon and tights, and then tape it - Ballet4life (05/29/2013)
They should work on just any type of ribbon. However, I've never used them to hold my knots, just to keep my knots tucked in. They are kind of just like tape or a clear band aid. - Ballerinagirl93 (02/11/2014)
