So I bought these for my daughter to start getting use to pointe shoes (walking, etc.) before actually taking a class. The shoe alone is good quality and fits well but there is no way to keep it on. It came with a band sewn in to one side of the shoe but thats it. No other band to tie or wrap the shoe to the ankle. It says elastic included. There is no elastic, no ties, no way to keep the shoe on. I now have to find something to sew into the other side so she can attempt to keep the shoe on her foot.

Slush01/06/2020 Tempe,AZRUNS WAY SMALL
Quality seems good, however the size is way off, much too small. I didn't bother to return them but ordered 3 sizes up. Let's see where this goes. It's also not the usual pink from brands like Bloch, more discrete.

Bets11/27/2018 Brooklyn,NYNOT EASY TO BREAK IN
I have been wearing these pointe shoes for 2 months now and they are not breaking in and I have tried everything to make them comfortable and break in. The box just doesn't seem ok. I will continue to wear them until I am able to find the Sansha Adult Recital Pointe Shoes that my mom once purchased on this site but you no longer carry.

The shoes overall are a good find, but the shank was a bit tough for a medium.

MandaL01/28/2014A PLEASENT SURPRISE
I normally prefer Bloch European Balance, but my feet are very strong and the European Balances break down fairly quickly. I tried these because of their cheaper price, and they were a pleasent surprise! The shanks are quite strong, so they supported me very well, and the wide box looked good on my narrow feet (without making me appear to be "sickled"). They do run a little large, I am normally a 6-6.5 sized street shoe, and the recommended size 8 was a little loose on me. Everyone's feet are different, but I might suggest a size smaller then recommended in the future.

AlissaN 10/18/2019 Age: 22 to 29 Are these sized similarly to the Sansha American Soft toed shoes?
This sizing on this shoe does run similarly to the Sansha American. Please refer to the sizing tab in the product information. This will give you a chart advising what size to order based on your street shoe size. - DDS Customer Service (10/22/2019)
I noticed in sansha pointe shoes, the size for a 6.5-7 is a 9. But in sansha regular shoes such as ballet shoes, the sizing for 6.5-7 is an 8. Is the sizing different from pointe shoes to ballet shoes just to make room for toe pads and such? im wondering bc I have sansha ballet shoes size 8, and they fit perfectly, but if I get sansha pointe shoes and they fit like the ballet shoes, I know there will be no room for my toe pads.
All of the shoes are individually sized, although it is the same brand it may have different fitting because it is a different shoe. i would suggest ordering based upon the sizing chart for that specific item. - DDS Customer Service (03/13/2014)
I would go with the 8. I saw from another review to choose a size smaller than it says. I went with the size smaller and it fits great! - Briannasky (10/05/2015)
The W stands for wide width, and X stands for extra wide width. We highly recommend that you be sized for pointe shoes by a professional before ordering online. Wearing the wrong size shoe can result in injury. - DDS Customer Service (02/15/2014)
I'm currently in the Bloch Balance European in a size 7 4X. I have been wearing these for several years and I've tried switching a few times but nothing has worked out in the past. I have a wider foot and shorter toes. Would this be an acceptable shoe for me to try and if so what size would I most likely fit in?
The Etudes pointe shoe sizing is based on your street shoe size. Please contact Customer Service so that we can assist you with sizing for these shoes. - DDS Customer Service (01/22/2014)
I have Russian pointe shoes now, but they get to be expensive so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I get a width 4 in the Russian pointe, so I was wondering if I should get medium or wide for these pointe shoes?
Based on the width you normally take in Russian Pointe shoes, I would recommend a W width. - DDS Customer Service (01/18/2014)
Dancer_Girl_245 07/30/2013 Age: 17 or under Is this shoe good for my foot?
I have a wide foot with small chubby toes and a medium arch. And i have a foot with overall thickness. Is this a good shoe for me?
This shoe doe have a square and wide box. It is also available in an X width, which does tend to be better for wide thick feet. - DDS Customer Service (08/02/2013)
ballerina1996 12/24/2012 Age: 17 or under are they good? i mean are they confortable or they last long?
How Long do Pointe shoes last? - 8-12 hours depending on the dancer. If taking 3 classes a week for an hour each, they will last about a month or so. - DDS Customer Service (12/26/2012)
