Can multiple mats be placed together to create a larger dance space?

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. You can go ahead and place them next to each other in attempt to make a larger mat but do not place them overlapping each other or lie them down on any carpet or uneven surfaces.

does this need any type of cushion underneath to protect the joints?

Any of the stage step floors do not need anything between them and the floor. If you would like to put a mat underneath you can but it is not necessary or recommended.

How long will it take this item to ship?

If the item is in stock, which it currently shows it is, it will ship via FedEx or UPS and reach you in approximately 3-7 business days. Since this is not an item we stock at our main warehouse that is the only shipping method that is offered for the mat.

How will this product be ship? What is the shape and size (the measurements) of the package? And wha

This mat ships from one of our external warehouses. They will ship the mat either Fed Ex or UPS. It is dependent upon them which of those methods it will arrive on. Unfortunately we do not have the measurements of the package, but it will be larger than the mat which is 8' x 6.58' x.08" thick. Stage step says this mat weighs 5 lbs. per square yard.

    Questions about the Sidestep Floor

Looking at the 8'x6' Stagestep floor. I'd like to be able to use this in our basement, it would be laid on top of an engineered wood floor. I'd want it to be portable so we could put it away when we are entertaining but could have it out for my daughter to practice clogging, etc. So, my questions: 1. What needs to go under it, if anything, to protect our floor? 2. What is the weight of this floor? 3. When we are not using it, can it be stored in an upright position, against a wall? Thanks for any help you can provide.

This floor can be put over any type of flooring without causing any damages. You do not need to put anything between the Sidestep Floor and your floor at home. The weight of the flooring is approximately 20 lbs. This floor roles up so you are able to stand it against a wall.
