Durability gets 5 stared because these have lasted as long as my pointe shoes. Its about time to retire the shoes and I'm starting to see the seams pulling where the elastic is sewn into the ribbon on the elastorib (it's been about five months minus winter break since I started dancing in the shoes). One of the best parts of these ribbons is that it's almost impossible to tie your ribbons too tight. The elastic gives you just the right amount of extra space to keep the shoes on comfortably. The ribbons also come extra long so you can cut off the excess if you need to. I don't intend to go back to regular ribbons.

These are amazing for my tendinitis, the color is a little peachy but matches my Capezio Tiffany's perfectly.

These ribbons have one glossy side (which is extremely glossy) and a "matte" side. I write that with quotes because even the matte side has a bit of a sheen to it. The elastic is amazingly soft and durable. The color perfectly matches my Freed of London pointe shoes. The elastic perfectly matches the width of the ribbons and the look is very clean. If you love shiny ribbons and want your ribbons to match your shoes (and have normal peachy shoes) these are for you. If you do not like glossy ribbons I highly suggested Gaynor Minden TLC ribbons, which are matte and match tights better. Needless to say the peachy color of these ribbons or even the Gaynor Minden one would look disgusting on Russian Pointe or Grishko. For those brands, then and only then do I recommend the Tendonitis Ribbons from Bunheads.

I love these, they are sturdy, thick ribbons, but the color is too peachy for Russian Pointes or my "ballet pink" and "Theatrical Pink" tights.

After reading all the answers to questions about how many ribbons I needed to buy, I was still hesitant. I called customer support to be sure what I needed to order. The helpful assistant put me on hold for a moment. Then he came back and reported that they had opened the package to be sure. 4 ribbons are included. Each shoe needs two ribbons, so one package is all you need for one pair of pointe shoes.

Just by looking at it, the elastics where well stitched to the ribbons and they were secure. The actual ribbons are a little stiff but workable. The only thing I am disappointed about is that the colour is different from what is displayed in the picture. Instead of it being light peach it a fairly darker brighter colour. It doesn't match my Bloch pointe shoes even thought its the same brand. If you don't mind this, its a good buy. :)

These are comfy ribbons w/elastic. They work great! You really don't notice the elastic on the ribbons, when I am wearing them, unless you look closely.

I love these ribbons! The elastic allows me to adjust better and get my ribbons nice and tight without killing my ankles. The color is a pretty pale peachy-pink and match my Bloch pointe shoes perfectly. I wouldn't go back to regular ribbons now.

I had a ganglan syst in my foot and it made pointe very painful. When I started using these ribbons, they relived pressure and made the pointe experience much nicer. They got me through 2 recitals, 8 performances of The Nutcracker, and, 3 performances of Sleeping Beauty!! Then I had the syst removed!! Love this product!!

I bought these elastic ribbons as they are more comfortable than the Bunheads Flexer ribbons, however the ribbon color no longer matches the pointe shoes (Russian Pointe) I wear. I remove the elastic section and machine sew them into the matching Russian Pointe ribbons, and then am good to go. A little extra work, but worth the protection I think. It would be nice to see these come with a choice of lighter color ribbon as well for those wearing lighter pointe shoes.

Basically if you like shiny, stiff ribbons buy these, I sewed mine on backwards for less shiny kapowness the first time and definitely never got them again. The elastic inserts would be very nice if they came in the freed ribbon. I took out and sewed the little elastics into my freed ribbons (too much work, don't do it!) and then reused the ribbons a couple of times, I just resewed them again on one of my new shoes and they are getting OLD and nasty... sad day...If any one knows of a non shiny non stiff elastic insert ribbon; do tell!

Why would you need ribbons with elastic? They're great for soft blocks because you're going on demi pointe but if you're just doing normal pointe you don't need them. The thread connecting the elastic also comes undone pretty quickly from the rest of the ribbon. Other than that they are shiny, pretty and good for soft blocks

I found these ribbons very anoying. they are thick and hard to tie because they are stiff. the elastic in the middle is like a mesh elastic and I don't like it as much as normal elastic. over all, they are fine for now, and I'm going to keep them on my pointe shoes, but I won't be buying them again mostly because they are stiff and uncomfortable in my opinion.

I love these. I have a really short achilles and these have helped me streach them out, but I would not recommend wearing these on stage. They look odd and different from everyone elses. Also if you are a beginner in pointe, you should buy these. They really help the pointe shoes feel more comfy and the help you become used to the stress on your feet! Overall these ribbons are great!!!

I use this ribbon for all my pointe shoes now. I ordered my first Elastorib Ribbon when I noticed slight discomfort of my Achilles Tendons a few weeks after I started my pointe training. Now the discomfort is gone. This really makes a big difference around your ankles. I tried a few other similar products from other makers, but Bloch Elastorib Ribbon works the best for me.

my achilles heels were really hurting from tight ribbons until i bought these! they look great and not only relieve the pain, but help secure my knot too. now i don't have to worry about anything when it comes to the ribbon of my points!

I been using these on all my pointe shoes since I tried them on my 2nd pair. When I tie my ribbons I like them tighter then most girls want. The elastic on the back allows me to tie them really tight without worrying about discomfort in the heel. Regular ribbons slip and eventually loosen throughout the class. These ribbons stay the same throughout the whole class. They also make is easier to tuck in your knot because u can pull the elastic part up and slip the knot right underneath.

I love these. I have foot problems and I used the Grisko ribbons. All they did was made my ankles hurt like crazy so I try these ones. They are my favorite.

This ribbon is soooo much better than Bunheads! It's comfy, soft elastic, and keeps it's shape. Already precut and ready to sew onto shoes. PLEASE SEW THE LONGER END OF THE RIBBON TO YOUR SHOE - otherwise the elastic will end up in the front of your ankle (instead of behind where it belongs. It matches the Bloch satin perfectly and stays secure while dancing. For me, Bunheads version always came loose and lost it's shape. The elastic wasn't as comfy either. From now on...I'll only get Bloch's version of this style of ribbon!

I have used Capezio and Grishko ribbons, NO Thank YOU! These are it for me and I have recycled them for 3 years on many different pointes. They match well with my Capezio glisses, chasses and bloch sonatas. I am going for the Gaynor next so I'm not so sure how those will match up as Gaynors are different colored than any other pointe I've worn. But these are the best, no stopping mid barre or floor to fidget with too tight of ribbons. That just doesn't happen with these, and how could you not love the fact that you are saving your ankles from detrimental damage? I mean why not make doing pointe work safer if you can and a highly comparable price!!! BUY THESE AND NO OTHERS!!!

I have tried all brands and types of ribbon, over the past 10 years that I've been on pointe, I always go back to these. They never bother my tendon or feel too tight, and always hold the shoe in place.

I love these. They work so well, they give you much more movement than the regular ribbons. The only tough part is trying to figure out where to put the elastic part!!! I totally recommend this product!!!

Like I said, I LOVE these! It's PERFECT. The color's so pretty and shiny, and it matches well with my Bloch and Sansha shoes. They blend in nicely with my tights, and the elastic part is so soft and stretchy! They last for such a long time and I love how nice and tight it feels when I tie my shoes (without cutting my circulation!), and they stay put! It also comes already cut (and I love the length! It's quite long, but I find long ribbons pretty). The material isn't so soft though, but they soften up after a few wears. :)

I absolutely love these, and will never go back to regular ribbons. There is never pressure on my achilles, and I don't have to worry about my ribbons coming untucked. All of my friends are switching to these.

If you ever have trouble with your ribbons getting twisted when you knot them, or you just like to get them tight, BUY THESE. I originally just bought them because they had such a good color. But I will never go back to other ribbons. They stay really tight and flat but never hurt. They also are the prettiest ribbons I have ever seen.

These ribbons stay nice and secure, they do not slip on tights. Also, they keep your extra ribbon really secure when it is tucked in!

Others have asked this & there are two different answers, one set per pair vs 2 ribbons (one per shoe). but 2 ribbons are needed for each shoe, so is one set 2 ribbons or 4 for a pair of shoes?

The ribbon comes with enought ribbon for one pair of point shoes.

I never used this before. How many do I need to buy for a pair of pointe shoes? Where am I supposed to sew on the pointe shoes?

You would need to order 1 set per pair of pointe shoes, your instructor should be able to help you with sewing on the ribbons.
