I wear a 6XXX in most pointe shoes as I have wide feet and bunions. While I have the typical extra long toe pads I was suggested to get lambs wool ones to make more space in my shoe.
I purchased the largest size (L) possible in hopes that they'd be long enough however they seem to be made for a very very narrow foot. I even turned them inside out which covered a bit more, but still just barely reached my bunion. I'm not sure they're usable for me but I will try since the cost of return is the price of the toe pads...

This product advertises a softer seam than other products, which is a flat out lie. The faux lambswool itself is fairly soft and seems to provide a decent amount of padding, but the seams always find their way on top of my toes which is exceedingly painful in pointe shoes. Would not recommend. Please make SEAMLESS toe pads already!!

These are not only super comfortable, they really do make your shoes fit better, and improve your balance! They take pressure off your toes, and still allow you to feel the floor! Very soft. They do warm your feet up, do to the fact that they are lamb's wool. That doesn't bother me, though. Love the cute bag they came in and the cute little inspection tag! Which really adds to the person touch! They made my Recitals fit better on my tapered toes. No longer do they slide around in the box! All I can say is, perfect!

These are okayish. Pointes are really tight fitting, which is good and bad. These pads were goodish for the first class, and with my strong feet, were as thin as a single paper towel after that. One of my friends uses them, and she buys them in bulk. So, if these are your favorites, buy in bulk!!!

I loved these when i first got them!!! They were like dancing on a cloud!!!! The only thing is they wear out pretty quick, maybe one or two months until they weren't cloud-walking-feeling After probably three months I had to start double them up with another older pair. So, overall they're amazing but need to be replaced often.

I love them! My company just finished our production of The Nutcracker and I could not have survied the season without them! I have tried ouch pouch, eurotard, wear moi, and skinny dips, and the lambs wool are by far my favorite! I go through a pair of toe pads a week so I would suggest ordering mutiple pairs if you are a more advanced dancer. I wear them with a layer of foam tape going over the tips of my toes. My pointe shoes have a short vamp (which means I have short toes), a hard shank, and they have a v cut without drawstrings. If you have short and square toes, these are the right toe pads for you.

I was excited to discover that my toes didn't cram into the box of my pointe shoes as much as it did with my gel pads, but my complaint is more directed at the manufacturer's quality control (or the lack thereof) and the fact that DDS shipped me what could be considered defective lambwool pillows - one of the lambswool was cut differently than the other so that one pillow extended well past the side of my toes while the other stopped short right at the joint while barely covering my toes. Since these are pre-cut, there's not much you can do about this, and I'm sure any dancer can understand the issue with having different-shaped lambswool pillows that mismatch. I'll buy from another company the next time around.

Great toe pads! I have had them for over a year and they are awesome! At first when you get them, they may seem very thick, but by the first time you wear them, the wool is perfect and not too thick or thin. Personally, I like to feel the floor; but not to the extent of getting really bad blisters. Great toe pads!

How durable these are. They're VERY comfortable and the wool shrinks very soon and doesn't have the lasting bulkiness of an ouch pouch, giving your shoe a little more room so blisters and pain don't exist. This product is just great and you can feel the floor. I've been wearing them for a few months now and it's my first year on pointe...not a blister in sight!

A nice, inexpensive product. The lamb's wool is very soft suprisingly durable; I have never gotten a hole or had a seam rip in the three years I have been using this product. I go through about three or four pairs of these during a year, which is not bad for the price. The lamb's wool provides just enough cushioning to protect your feet and make pointe comfortable, but is thin enough to allow your feet to breath. It also prevents that gross sweat build-up you get with gel toe pads.

These are great. I've had trouble with stability in pointes using other products, but these eliminate a lot of the pain and they don't interfere with my feel of the floor. I'm so glad I found these!

These toe pads are absolutely fantastic! Although they are a bit bulky at first, they provide protection against rubbing and blisters caused by pointe shoes. After wearing them for a couple weeks of classes, the bulkiness went away and they were perfect. They allowed me to feel the floor very well. However, after about four months of wear, the lambs wool flattens but still protects your feet well. I will be purchasing these again soon!

Michigan,
I really wanted to love these, but they actually gave me bleeding blisters whenever I wore them (and trust me, my feet are the toughest I've met). It might, on an off-chance, be because I'm allergic to wool, but I don't think so, as I don't otherwise react to these. I currently wear them under socks to keep my toes warm in the winter, but I'll never stray from my Ouch Pouch again.

These toe pads work fine, but offer minimal padding. They are very thin, and flatten after use, so it is kind of like using a sock. They toughen up your toes, but if you're looking for toe pads that have a lot of padding, I wouldn't recommend these. I thought these were good for short periods of time, but definitely not for two hours or more of pointe. I like using lambs wool though because I don't like a lot of padding, so now I use the pillows for pointe gellows, which are thin, but offer more padding than these toe pads.

These are perfect for me since I like to feel the box/floor in my pointe shoes. They provide just enough support without feeling like you are sinking in to your shoes. Really comfy and more convenient than plain old lambs wool!

The Midwest,
Ok, these are the worst! I have had these for a while(see other review), and they really stink! They are as flat as a pancake, so half the time I wear NO toepad and it feels the same! Lambs-wool toepads are the only kind girls at our school can use so these are my only option. I think I will save my money and go toepad-less! At least you can feel the floor in these.

I got these toe pads to use with my pre pointe shoes, and they got sort of flat! Yeah, you can feel the floor in them, though. Maybe they hurt more because the toes of pre pointe shoes are not as strong as normal pointe shoes. At my academy, we can't use gel toe pads, so these are pretty much my only choice.

Columbia, Sc,
These toe pads are great!!! My teacher made me get them because she doesn't want beginners to spoil their feel with gel toe pads. I am sooo glad I got them!!! They do flatten out quickly, but all you have to do is wash them and put them in the dryer and that problem is fixed. If you like thin toe pads you don't even have to do that. These are great!!!

I thought that I should try something other than the Freed toe pad, so I got these. When I got them they looked like they would fit great, then I tried them on, THEY WERE TINY!!! Even though I usually wear medium width in stuff I think it would be best to get wide. GET A SIZE BIGGER!!!

These are really comfy. As a pointe beginner, they allow me to feel the floor and have a good sense of balance, while cushioning my feet in a very soft way. I feel like my feet can breathe and not feel restricted. The gel tip helps to keep the pads in good shape. They definitely feel better than the other toe pads I've tried (Ouch Pouch, Skinny Dips, etc.)

New York,
I bought these for my first year of pointe. I hated them because my feet hurt badly and I got blisters every class that would get caught on my tights while dancing, which made them even worse. My toes would be bleeding afterwards and the class was only 45 minutes long with mostly barre work. Everyone else in my class couldn't even get on pointe fully and I was actually going over pointe with a really good arch. I don't recommend these for beginners if you are not sure of your arch or foot strength.

Ouch pouches, gel pads, whatever it was, did not mold to my toes like good old lamb's wool. They start out super puffy, but after the first class, they flatten out.

Wisconsin,
I got these because tape hasn't been helping when I dance in my pointe shoes. I got major blisters on my pinkie toes that never ever healed before I had to do pointe the next time. With these I can just slip them on and go! No blisters! Buy them. It's worth it.

I find these to be the perfect amount of padding. Some of my friends are big fans of gel pads, but I can't stand those; they are so thick that wearing them makes my feet feel like they've lost all feeling. These lambswool pads are definitely the way to go.
I disagree that they wear out quickly; I'm still using the ones I got over a year ago. They do get extremely thin and worn out, but I think they're more comfortable that way.

Miami,
My pointe classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes and by the end, they've already worn out. I love the padding, not too much, just a bit so I can feel the floor nicely.
But ugh! I have pointe three times a week so I would have to buy three packs a week. But like a reviewer said, loose wool is much better.

Florida,
I used these when I first started pointe and then I switched to the loose lambs wool. The loose is much better. These wear out very quickly and my big toes were bleeding my first class. They weren't my favorite but I have classmates who love them, so don't just rely on reviews, but try things for yourself, to know what works for you :)

Virginia,
I have these in my Capezio pointe shoes. They are my favorite toe pad. These are perfect for people who, like me, hate thick toe pads that bunch up in your shoe. These are very light and thin and offer just enough padding. They also have no gel, just lambswool, which I really like.

If you're like me, you want to be able to be confident on pointe. These toe pads helped me a lot to feel the floor and balance, because yes, they break down fast, but as they got thinner I got used to it. They also helped my toes and feet form strong calluses. Overall, these helped me so much in pointe, and now every other class I use no toe padding and am fine. P.S. I have been using the same pair for three years!

I'm going back to these after gel. I like to feel the floor while dancing. It helps with balance. I wore them for the first 3 years of my pointe dancing. Last 3 years have been gel. Not a good idea. Lost all sense of balance on the gels. Had great balance with the lambs wool. Also, they don't pinch your feet. All in all, worth the money, even if they don't last forever!!!!
