    POOR QUALITY

Purchased for my daughter. These are a great idea but had 2 pairs and both fell apart the first time they were worn. She wore for class and as she took the kne pad off the glue holding insert pad between the fabric gave out and the pads came out

GOOD KNEE SUPPORT, BUT NOT WHAT WE NEEDED

I bought this for my son who has a performance soon. The product itself is great. We got the smaller size. It fits him. He's 17 y.o. weighs 165lbs , and is 5' 10". We didn't actually need it for the support, but for the knee cushion. He gashed his knee open 4 weeks before the show and needed stitches. It has healed well, but is still tender, so he has been dancing with a cushioned knee support. (As Peter Pan, he has to land on his knee a couple times.) However, the one he practices in is too big, bulky and obvious to wear with the costume. We were looking for something more streamlined that he could wear under the tights. This knee support does that. It's essentially invisible under his tights, but there's just not quite enough cushion, and it's sort of in the wrong shape for what he needs. Not the fault of the product.

GREAT SUPPORT, HIDES WELL, CAN CUSTOMIZE

I'm 5'4", 125lb. and these size small are a bit tight but offer great support in compromise. This knee pad is long, runs about 11" in length total. My own leg circumference is 12.5" at the knee and upper calf where this hits (5.5" below the center of the knee), and my thigh is 16.5" circumference where this hits (5.5" above the center of the knee). This kneepad has a flat measurement of about 5.25" across the top (thigh) and fully stretched is about 10.5" flat measurement. I am using these for a performance where I have to step down onto my knees in one or two combinations. I've had knee problems in the past so I like both support and padding for this floor move! PROS - These are very stretchy, continuous thick elastic throughout and offer actual joint support and warmth, but more minimal padding against impact than volleyball type kneepads. These are more comfortable to wear because they are longer with knit fabric over the 1" wide elastic bands so they do not cut in to the skin. The 'gel' padding itself over the knee/patellar area is extremely localized so it doesn't show the way regular boxy kneepads do. I supplemented these gel pads with a fabric resuseable breastfeeding pad in each knee support, folded in half over my patellar tendon to add a bit of extra protection. This was the perfect size and thickness, and helped a lot. The kneepads are very tight (and the breastfeeding pads have a no-slip lace fabric texture on the outside) so my additional padding did not shift during rehearsals. HOWEVER - I'm a 40-something mom with 'softer' thigh mass than a professional athlete or dancer, and these leave a noticeable indent in my inner thigh because they are too tight (do not contain flab) on top. A not-so-attractive 'sausage' effect. I have been able to wear them underneath opaque dance tights and that helps somewhat. Luckily my performance costume (harem pants) will hide this area. If your inner upper thighs are not as firm as they used to be, one might want to wear compression-type bike shorts in combo with these for a smoother line under form-fitting costumes! Can't judge durability yet.

    AWESOME!

I have severe tendonitis in both of my knees and I was in a dance that involved a lot of floor work & walking on my knees. I ordered these a few weeks into practice and I was shocked because I couldn't feel my knees rubbing against the floor! These pads create a thick barrier between the floor and my knees and helps with the pain. It also doubles as a compression brace! They get a little dirty, just like everything does, but just throw them in the washer and they won't shrink! I absolutely love these and I would buy them again!

I have the same question: Would a small Knee Support Pads fit a 15 year old? - she's 5.2" tall & wei

This item in size Small measures 10 inches in diameter and tapers to 9 inches at the bottom. It is very stretchy.
    - DDS Customer Service (08/05/2013)

I just posted a review with measurements. It might fit her but not be as snug as it is on me! Depends on how much support vs. padding is needed. It would probably stay up on her. The flat measurement of the top elastic is 5.5". - Lovetoeatmangoes (05/14/2015)

Would the Small Knee Support item fit a teenager? She is tall with thin legs.

My daughter is tall also and weighs around 114. The small fit perfect. - Dancemom57 (09/23/2014)

I just posted a review with measurements. The small measures 5.5 across the top elastic (flat). It depends how tight she wants to wear it. It's very stretchy. - Lovetoeatmangoes (05/14/2015)
