I have to wear this in the shade royal blue for my ballet class uniform. Low back keeps it cool and it looks nice in the back. Very comfy. I’m 5’3 and 98 pounds I have a petite and a small, the small fits better. I hope that helps someone.

arabesque06/21/2015COMFY UNIFORM LEOTARD
A very comfortable basic leotard. These technically run true to size, but stretch out over time. The leg line is more moderate than ballet cut. I am 5'4'' and 108 pounds and the medium eventually fit after a while, but a small might be a more refined fit. The burgundy color seems strange but it is actually very attractive, even when it fades. I usually use a hair tie to tie back the straps to make the front fit a little tighter, because it is slightly loose- cambre back pulls the front a little low. Overall, a class favorite!

I recently purchased this leotard for my 10 year old daughter. She is long in the torso and we had difficulty finding a leotard which fit well. This one is perfect for her. It is cut high enough in the chest so she isn't pulling it up and it doesn't gap in the legs. She is 4'10'' and about 82 lbs and the XS is perfect.
Comfort:

Kat04/16/2010AWESOME!
This is a great leo! The leg line is really nice, and doesn't ride up. I've had this leo for two years and the only thing that I don't like about it is that it gets holes in it pretty easily.

I've had this leo in garnet for at least 4 years and although it has faded slightly, it has held up great! I machine wash it and everything, yet still no holes or rips or pilling. I'm 5'10" and big chested (36C), and the large is a little loose in the front, but I don't think I could wear it smaller. This is one of my favorites. I agree with most- it's simple but classic and comfy to wear for long rehearsals. I can't see how you could go wrong.

I ordered this leotard about 6 months ago and after many washes it has held up great. I am 5"2 at about 90 pounds and got the petite. It fits pretty good, but is kind of plain, so I pinched the front of it myself. I would recommend it if you just want a simple leo.

McKinna04/27/2009 Oregon,
It's really good if you want a plain black classic leo. It fits great on me and I am 5'8 120 pounds. I know many other dancers that are just as happy with it as I am.

I like this leotard a lot. The only problems with it were the tag, which itched me like crazy and a small hole that formed after about 3 months of use. Other than that, great!

Anonymous11/15/2008 Connecticut,I LOVE IT!
I have had this leo in black for about 8 months now, and it is in great shape! The color hasn't faded, it hasn't stretched out...it's perfect. I'm 5' and about 96 pounds with an almost flat chest, and it fits great. It's comfortable and very affordable. I hope to buy more of this leotard soon. My only complaint is that the seam in the back can be annoying if you are on the floor like in a modern or jazz class. Otherwise it's great!

After years of dancing, I have accumulated this leotard in pretty much every single color. It's pretty boring, but practical. However, it does kind of make you look fat and make your chest look bigger than usual, so don't wear it when you feel bloated =)

This leotard fits very well. Although, if you have a long torso like me, then I would recommend going a size up, as the leo can be a bit short. (I'm 5'7 or 5'8, and really skinny). I would recommend this leo for any body type, though.

This is my favorite leo!!! It is really nice and not too low. I did have to fix the straps on it but other than that it's great.

Emily03/08/2008 New York,FUNNY ARMS
This is a good basic leotard, but the arm holes are cut way too high, so they cut into my skin even though the camisole straps are the right length. Also, where the fabric comes together to make the "V" back forms a little lump that can get uncomfortable after long rehearsals.

Sarah01/24/2008 Pennsylvania,
I love this leotard. It's a great basic type leotard and fits great. I can't say much for wear and tear over time, but all I can say in general is, WASH YOUR LEOS PROPERLY! You can't just throw them in the wash with everything else people! I hand wash mine most of the time in cold water with gentle detergent and always line dry. Anyway, the leo is great :D I really want to get it in some more colors! I have the seafoam and black. Also, I'm 5'0 and 110 pounds and I ordered the medium.

I tried this leotard on in a store. It looked great! Basic, and pretty. But I'm in between sizes, so I didn't get this. I was disappointed. I really wanted to get it. Oh well, it looks good : )

I got this as a present in Navy. The color is great and it fits nicely. I often see people complaining about the dance wear they bought because it rips. A lot of times this happens because it is washed incorrectly. Please remember to always follow the wash instructions. It can really save you a lot of money!

K12/15/2007 California,PRETTY GOOD!!
It's basic, I have it in Navy. I'm 5'3 and 115 pounds, and it fits perfectly. I've had it for 4 months. It's very comfortable, and I've had no problems with it (no straps snapping or slipping, no holes, nothing). It was a tad see-through, so I sewed in extra shelf lining. I'm pretty happy with it! It's affordable and comfortable!

Katie09/24/2007 Columbus,oh,INTERMEDIATE!
This is an entirely wonderful leotard...if you're 11-13. It looks awkward on younger girls and even more awkward on advanced students because of the bust and leg cut. The bust cut in my opinion doesn't flatter any bust size and the leg cut is rather tight and low.

Brianna08/09/2007 Iowa,
This is the required leotard at my studio, and it fits nice at first. We have classes 5 days a week and this leotard fades pretty quickly when you wear it that often. It also starts to rip at the seams after a while. It is definitely not my favorite leotard.

Sugar07/20/2007UM, THAT'S NOT GOOD!
OK, I really wanted a comfortable, modest leo, and I thought this one was good until I tried it on. The straps fall off in a side cambre, and under the arm, the material gaps because of the straps not staying on. I do have narrow shoulders, and I bet it would be great for other dancers, but not for me. I can't wear this :(

I absolutely adore this leotard. It's soft, comfortable, form-fitting, and stretchy. The V-back is nice too. It's a really nice basic leotard. I was so sad when I outgrew it.

Amy06/19/2007 Glenwood Springs,co,OH, SO GOOD!
I LOVE this leotard. Before this spring, I had been a staunch Natalie supporter. However, I tried this leotard and found that it is the best. It is comfortable and modest. Unlike other leotard's scoop fronts, this one stays in a scoop instead of turning into a 'v'. I also dance around six times a week, but when I wash it, it stays the same. The quality of this leo is awesome. My only complaint is the shelf-lining. The lining is not attached at the bottom and is slightly uncomfortable at first. However, that is easy to get used to. Nothing else but Mirella after this!

Now A Mirella Loyalist06/11/2007 Maryland,THE #1 LEO OF MY WHOLE CAREER!
I have this in the now discontinued Forest Green.
I'm 5'4" and a solid 135lbs. (meaning that I don't look it). I have a larger than normal rear for a dancer, and a small top. It's usually impossible to find a good fit. This fit perfectly.
I've worn it for years and only recently has it gotten a hole in the back neckline elastic casing. Amazingly, they used BLACK elastic, so the hole still doesn't show.
Mirella has my undying loyalty. They have everything one needs in a leotard. Even if you don't like this model, find a Mirella you DO like. It will serve you well for a long time.

Anonymous05/15/2007HORRIBLE
I HATED IT! I thought it was the worst leo on the planet! It didn't fit my body type (short and skinny), and many other types of my friends (tall and skinny, tall and fat, short torso, long legs, vice versa, etc.) I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!
HORRIBLE! And after 1 week of wearing it, I got a big hole and when I bend backwards (cambre) the neck line goes all the way below my bust! HATE IT! IT WAS HORRIBLE!

Britt03/07/2007 Las Vegas,NOT GOOD FOR LONG TORSOS/TALL GALS
I am 5'9/5'10 and slim, and this was way too short for me. It was so short, that it didn't even form to my body. Rather, it "stretched" straight up from my hips to my chest. I should have gotten the one in the meryl material, as they tend to be longer and form to my body better. I have tried 3 Mirella leotards (even in XL and talls) and they have all been too short :(

Tiffany03/07/2007NOT THE BEST LEO
This leo was comfy and provided support. However, after wearing it for about a week, the seams started ripping, and the fabric on the straps did too. It also dips a little low when you bend forward and back. However, it wasn't the worst leo I've had.

This is the extreme basic from Mirella. Too basic, I thought, but it is actually very flattering. I've had it for at least two years so it has faded and stretched out. The top sags but it looks a lot better when I pinch it. Awesome leo, just fix it up or just get the pinch front one.

Awesome leotard! It's classy, and flattering on everyone. It's the required leotard for exams at my school, so I have two in black. They've faded, but probably only because I wash them at least once or twice a week. Buy it! It's one of the best.
I LOVE this leo, it's superb, it fits really well (although it gapes a tiny bit between my ribs and rear). I have it in jade and I was looking at a photo of me in it 3 years ago and the color is exactly the same! Amazing! For an extra touch, you can add a pinch :)

I have had this leotard in black for about 3 years, and I still love it! It is simple but the v back gives it a little something extra. I also like the leg line. It stays where it is supposed to, and the color has never faded.

This leotard is great. It's flattering and comfortable. The only problem I've noticed is that my leotard and some of my friend's leotards have gotten holes in the side. Otherwise it's great.

This leotard lasts a very long time. I have had mine for about eight years and it still doesn't have any holes or anything. The color has significantly changed, but that's understandable for its age. Its a good basic.

alexis01 09/23/2013 Orlando Fl Age: 17 or under What does the back look like?
Since there is no alternate view for the back I was wondering what the back looks like.
Thank you
The back is a swoop back, it would be a little lower than the front of this leotard. - DDS Customer Service (09/24/2013)
The back is a medium low v-shape, pretty standard if you look at other plain camisole leotards. Look at some of the similar Capezio ones, they are all about the same. - Arabesque (06/21/2015)
I love this leo(: but it seems so thin in the chest area like the nude shelf isnt enough to keep things covered. Is it just me? Ive read the reviews but it doesnt seem to be a problem for anyone else. Im not large chested or anything- what should i do? I dont want to have to send it back. Thanks!
I ourchased the black for my daughter and did not find the leo to be thin at all. Maybe the color choice has something to do with it? - Tracyjo (09/16/2013)
