Girls Beginner Leather Full Sole Ballet Shoes

These aren't the best. They are so stiff and even though we wore a larger size my daughter got a sore on the back of her heel from the rub. Elastic is also stiff. Overall we have not had good luck with this brand.

I ordered half a size up after reading reviews and they are just a little too long but they will work. I suggest ordering your child's normal size.

Really, they aren't anything special. They are basic ballet slippers for an affordable price. My daughter's feet seems to be growing constantly which is why I usually go for these slippers since they are affordable and I’m buying a new pair every year. I usually size a half size up from her street shoe. It gives her some room to grow so they will last longer. She says they are comfortable and this is our 4th but so we are happy with them.

My kids have used this brand for years. I have always had to buy a bigger size because they’ve never been worn out. They always grow out. It’s a good quality product

I read the reviews and sized up 1 full size from her street shoes, and it was the perfect recommendation. They are a great sturdy material for my 4 year old beginning dancer!

I got these for my 4 year old starting ballet. It's a nice quality but sizing runs small for the younger ages from what they suggest. The sizing suggestion is 'one size smaller than street'. She is close to a size 7 street shoe and I figured she should get a the size 6. Size 6 toddler fits like a size 5 street shoe. I ended up getting a size 8 and it fit her perfectly with some room to grow.

This is a good shoe for such a great price. Ran a little big but not big enough to have to return. My daughter wears a Street shoe size 9, so I ordered a size 10. I recommend this shoe!

Runs true to size to a 1-2 size larger than street shoe The strings come untied often but it happens with most shoes.

most size 7's are roomy on my granddaughter but this size 7 hits her right in the toes. She'll grow out of them too soon. the other option was to return them and order again...meaning I'd pay shipping 3 times (more than the shoes cost!) I am done ordering shoes online!

I accidentally ordered the wrong size the first time, however, they are such great quality that I didn't want to return them. I've set them aside to use once my girls outgrow the second pair I purchased hat fit correctly. They're wonderful and beautiful.

I sized my daughters foot with another pair of ballet shoes. yes every brand is different but when I got them and tried them on her- they were 2 sized too big. There is too much of a hassle to send back so im just keeping them until she can wear them and will have to buy another pair for this year.

Unfortunately I read the sizing recommendation and did what it said - ordered 1 size smaller than my daughter's street shoe size. WAY too small. Needed the shoes quickly and now need to exchange them so we won't have them in time. Frustrated that I have to pay for return shipping and shipping on the new pair just for following the instructions on sizing. Whoops! Disappointing first experience with Discount Dance. Makes it hard to know what to rate them - they seem like good shoes but we weren't able to use them yet. So...

I order these for my students using fit kits. They are great quality for the price and the parents appreciate that. Children's feet grow very fast and it is great to have an affordable option especially when a lot of my students go through more than one pair during the dance year. Highly recommend!

They run smaller that what the chart says to order, so I would suggest that you order at least a half-size larger. The quality was better that I expected.

I was not sure what size to order since some reviews said it ran small and the recommendation says order 1 size smaller. My daughter wears street shoes size 7 with only little room to grow. So I ordered size 7 for these shoes and they fit just right, which is what I think ballet shoes should fit for dancing. That is why I put "True to Size". I think we normally buy a size bigger for street shoes so that our children's feet will grow into them. I guess that it is why the website suggests us do. I hope that my logic is correct and that it helps clear things up a little. The color of the shoes isn't pink as some reviews stated, but it doesn't matter to me. They do not look like cheap plastic and are soft and comfortable.

The color ballet pink is usually a little closer to nude than pink but these are more of a blush color. The fit is true to size and the drawstrings are super easy to adjust to the size.

These fit my soon to be 4yr old well but her foot is narrow. I ordered the most narrow ones but they are still wide on her foot. Other than that, they are cute and seem to made well.

Received the black slippers earlier than expected. After reading the reviews I purchased a size larger and they fit with a little room to grow. Fit my son great he loves them for his dance class. Will purchase again.

Got this for both of my daughter's and had to return both. They run much smaller than recommended size. I recommend getting at least 1.5 sizes larger than what they recommend. Other than that, there wasn't anything wrong with them. Easy return process which is always nice.

I purchased these shoes to use as footwear for a flower girl dress. The item indicated it came in a 'pink' color. Unfortunately these 'pink' ballet slippers are more of a pukey brown. They are being returned for slippers that are a less offensive shade of pink.

Great slipper, however, it definitely fits well over a size larger than a street shoe. Bought these slippers for my daughter in a 13, and although her foot will grow, I proceeded to buy the 12 as well. :)

The sizing chart indicates that you should order the street shoe size for children, however, we needed a shoe that's 3 full sizes larger than my child's street shoe size! This might be unique to us, but it was a large enough difference that I wanted to leave a review for any other mom trying to order!

I'm satisfied with what I received for the price. Bought for child experiencing dance for the 1st time so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. They arrived on time and no complaints. I definitely recommend buying a smaller size than your child typically wears. I think it says 1 size and that's about right.

They ran big as stated so I sized down, and they are still a bit big. The shoes are not pink, though, they are more of a beige color. They do not match the pink leotard I purchased for her from this site. While the look of the shoes is awful, they will serve the purpose for a young girl's ballet class. I should have looked elsewhere for shoes and will next time.

I needed a larger size ballet shoe for my daughter. I ordered what I thought was the next size up, it was not. I accidentally bought the exact same size we already had. Not only was the return process easy, but within a week I had the correctly sized pair of shoes. They are exactly what I needed.

The slippers were too wide for my 3 1/2 year old niece so that when she moves her feet, both sides open up. She is a skinny child so that has a lot to do with it but I still expected the slipper to fit more snug and expand with the foot.

Bought these shoes for my 2 yr. old daughter in size 8.5! She's actually a size 8 but I wanted to get her shoes that were a bit larger for her to grow into them. Even though they're a little big for her, she can still wear them without them slipping off! It's a pretty soft peachy pink color and go perfectly with her outfit!

I ordered the exact sizes for my girls and they fit perfectly. There is even some growing room. These shoes also look great, but since I've only had them for a week, the durability is still being analyzed.

I bought these for my five year old daughter. I bought her shoe size and these have a small amount of growing room which is perfect. I didn't realize the string that tightens it up around the foot was not elastic. When I tried them on my daughter it was hard to tighten and because the string had no give it was uncomfortable. I traded the strings out for elastic strings from her old pair and they work great now.

I bought this shoe for my 3 year old grand-daughter who loves to dance with her older sister. This shoe looks lovely and seems to be very comfortable, amazing quality for such a small price. This shoe runs small, I had to go up two sizes to get a good fit.

ballet slippers for my grand daughter was reasonably priced, $4.00 cheaper than what I could buy at the dance school she goes to. My order arrived quickly. I would not hesitate to order from Discount Dance Supply again.

These are amazing. My daughter wears a 12 1/2 shoe and I bought her a size 12 child and after the initial wearing they are a little big and wide but she does have narrow slim feet. She is practicing in them a lot for a ballet recital with the Washington Ballet-Dance DC Program for 7-9 year olds and the shoes are holding up great.

I purchased these for my 4yr old granddaughter. She is in her 2nd year of ballet. I have alot of experiance buying ballet shoes, my daughter danced for 12 years. I have never seen a childs ballet slipper that you could not pull the strings up to make the top around the shoe tighter. She has a narrow foot so even though the length is good her foot slips out with out being able to tighten them up. I will be returning them today

These ballet shoes are a good value for the money. I rated them a 4 though because the shoe seems a tad baggy width-wise, but not as roomy in the width of the toes as I expected. I would recommend ordering at least a half size up - they seem to run just a little bit small. I ordered a full size up for growing room. A good economy ballet shoe for young students!

My 19 month old just started a ballet class (if you can call it that) and needed some ballet flats. This were relatively inexpensive, she finds them comfortable (she does not rip them off) and they are easy to put on and take off, but stay pretty well secure when they have to. Great purchase!

Overall this is a good quality ballet slipper for the price. We received the item very quickly. I had read reviews which said that the sizing ran small but I found it to be normal. My daughter wears a 9 (just had her sized) and based on the comments I chose to order a 10.5 which is way too big. Probably should have gone with a 9.5. Overall I'm really pleased though!

ballet shoes had to be exchanged on first order because they were so small the exchange shoes fit but the elastic band is too high on the foot and too tight I am going to have it replaced with a Velcro band I would not reorder these shoes but the quality seems to be very good even though they haven't been worn enough to really know yet

These are great starter ballet shoes. I have ordered for most of my classes. They are true to size, comfortable (soft leather), and a great value. Their feet grow so fast, it's great to finally find affordable shoes. I like to order 1/2 size larger than street shoe, just so they have a little growing room. I have made 3 more orders since my first.

Hi, I am wanting to purchase a pair of the ballet slippers for my 2 year old daughter. I have a daughter who is 3. She wears a US Toddler 9.5 size shoe. However, when I go to order ballet shoes, I only see Child sizes or Toddler up to 6.5. I'm not sure which size to order. Please help!

This particular shoe runs a bit big, so the sizing recommends ordering 1 size smaller than the child's street shoe. A size 8.5 is available. Just click on the drop down menu and select that size.
